What happens during your lip filler appointment

The conversation
Your provider looks at your face, asks what you want, asks what you do not want. You will see what is possible for your specific lip shape and skin tone before anything is decided.

The plan
Half, full, or neither today. The decision happens after the consultation, never before. You will know exactly what is being placed and why.

The treatment
Numbing cream first. Filler with built-in lidocaine. Fifteen to twenty minutes. Most patients describe it as pressure rather than pain.

The settle
Some swelling for the first day or two. Final shape settles over two weeks. A complimentary follow-up visit is part of the appointment.

What new patients ask
Will lip filler look the same on my skin tone?
No. Lip filler interacts with different skin types differently, and our providers are trained across the full range of skin tones with adjusted technique for melanin-rich skin, fair skin, and every tone in between. Your consultation will cover this directly.
Will it hurt?
Less than most patients expect. Numbing cream is applied first, and the filler product itself contains lidocaine. Most patients describe the sensation as pressure rather than pain.
How do I know if I should get half or full?
You do not have to decide before booking. Your provider will walk through the difference during your free consultation and recommend what fits your face, your goals, and the timeline you want for full results.
What if I do not like the result?
Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved if needed, which is one reason our team plans conservatively. We would rather start lighter and add to the plan at a follow-up than place too much in the first visit.
How long will it last?
Nine to twelve months is typical, depending on the product chosen, the amount placed, and how your body metabolizes filler. Your provider will discuss longevity based on your individual case.
Is the consultation truly free?
Yes. No card on file, no deposit. If you decide it is not the right day, you will walk out without paying anything.
